NBD

Privacy Policy

Effective October 1, 2026

Short version: NBD has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your progress, sessions and clips stay on your phone. The only thing that ever leaves it on its own is a crash report when the app breaks — with no name, email or videos in it.

This policy covers the NBD app for iPhone and Android ("NBD", "the app"), made by xoyk ("we"). Contact: nbd@xoyk.dev.

What stays on your phone

Your device's own backup (iCloud or Google) may include the app's data, under Apple's or Google's terms.

Crash reports

When the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a report to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), the service we use to find and fix bugs. A report contains the error and where in the code it happened, the app version, the device model, the operating system version, and a random identifier for the installation. It does not contain your name, email, contacts, location, videos or the tricks you have marked. We have turned off storing IP addresses for our Sentry project. Reports are kept for up to 90 days and are used only to fix the app.

YouTube

When you save a YouTube video to a trick and play it in NBD, it plays in YouTube's own embedded player, loaded from Google. Google may collect information while it plays, under the Google Privacy Policy. "Find a tutorial on YouTube" opens YouTube or your browser with the trick's name as the search. NBD itself sends nothing about you to YouTube.

What we don't do

Children

NBD is a sports app for skaters of any age and collects no personal information from anyone, children included.

Deleting your data

Settings → Reset everything erases your progress, clips and references from the phone. Deleting the app removes all of its data. Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side; to have crash reports from your device removed, write to us.

Changes

If NBD starts handling data differently — for example, a future feature that analyses a clip on a server — we will update this page before that version is released, change the date above, and the feature will ask before sending anything.
